As you read through this section please remember that we are all in this caper together to enjoy the experience and to have fun.

The underlying motivation of the committee and coaches is to create an environment of fun for children and their families and to have fun ourselves whilst creating that environment.

​

Committee members and coaches are unpaid volunteers juggling work, family and/or study commitments. Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it is easy to forget that and go into auto mode as if you are dealing with Telstra or the Tax Office.

​

The Committee is charged with making decisions about the direction of the club, finances, team selections etc. and whilst we all try our best to be fair and equitable and act in the best interests of everyone concerned, sometimes there may be a perception that an injustice has occurred.

​

The Committee understands that it can't please everyone all of the time and that sometimes people will feel aggrieved by decisions which are made.

 

If you feel aggrieved by anything at the club, we implore you to speak to a Committee Member about it as soon as it starts to bother you so that we can explain more about the matter that is troubling you and try to resolve it quickly.

 

If the matter is not able to be resolved to your satisfaction and you would like to take the matter further then please register a formal complaint by sending an email to the Club Secretary.

 

Whatever you do please don't:

 

• vent your grievance to other parents or children. This only serves to spread ill will and disharmony amongst our club and spoils it for those who volunteer their time to create a fun environment for our children.

• be abusive, critical or long winded.

 

Remember rule number 1 - have fun.

 

The quickest way to de-rail a club is to make its volunteers not want to volunteer any more.

 

Please, just calmly and concisely, state your concerns and give our committee the opportunity to explain and resolve your concerns.
