Our History
Nunawading Netball Club, Mitcham Victoria
Nunawading Netball Club was established in 1952.
Training was at Walker Park on Whitehorse Road, Nunawading and played with a brown leather ball which had to be regularly polished to keep it water resistant.
Games were played at Burwood Teacher's College (now Deakin University), Park Orchards, Norwood, Cheong Park and North Warrandyte.
In the seventies the Uniform was changed to black and yellow because the Club President at the time barracked for the Richmond Tigers! The Uniform consisted of a yellow tunic, black t-shirt, black bloomers, a white diamond with a "N" in the centre of it and no bibs.
We moved to HE Parker Reserve (now known as Maroondah Nets) in the 1980's where we currently play in the Melbourne East Netbal Association.
